This is a stripped down portable version of the PSS Software for Dahua DVRs.
Features include auto login, auto connect, start in full screen, and up to 32 camera multiview.
Skin files have been removed or modified to create the ultimate PSS Live Viewer.

Supported DVRs
Supports most Dahua DVRs including some models from:
EyeSurv, QVis, AData, XTS, TechPro, EDGE, ICRealtime, MACE, GEN IV, Q-See, and others.
Contact us to add your DVR to this list.



This only supports one DVR at a time - multisite version will be released at a later date.
Dahua PSS for Windows Version 4.04.0 is included in this package.
The PSS Software itself has not been decompiled or modified in anyway. 3 Skins are available

The PSS Skin files control what features are displayed to the user.
By editing the skins (image and ini files) we can add or remove features.
Here are the 3 skins which we created for PSS Portable.

1) Lite - fastest, smallest, basic live view only (sample)
2) Basic - system, dvr and tasks setup, live view only (sample)
3) Pro - system, dvr, and tasks setup, playback and live view (sample)

The PSS Portable download is split into these 3 types of skins.
Each download includes the skin folder for one of the above skins.

Important: PSS_Config.ini and UserLogin.ini have also been edited and although they are not directly part of the skins they also change some features, in particular - Autologin. If these changed files are not included you will not be able to login to PSS.

• PSS System Config - only useful for standard folder (Skin 2,3)
• Device list for connecting/remote configuration of DVR (Skin 2,3)
• Device Manage - edit/add devices (Skin 2,3)
• Task Config and Task Manage - add/start/stop tasks (Skin 2,3)
• Playback Video (Skin 3)
• System tray icon for Exit and Task Manage (Skin 1,2,3)
• Video Window Icons - close, zoom, etc. (Skin 1,2,3)

There are 2 options for download ..

1) Self Extracting Executable
Extracts to the temporary folder on the host computer. Pss.ini must be in the path of this main EXE, otherwise it will load default settings and you will have to add/edit the DVR each time. This option can be slow on some systems, therefore option 2 may be better.

2) Standard Folder
Pss.ini is included in the PSS folder. There is a CMD file to run the custom loader, loadpss.exe. In this option you can just copy this to a drive or folder. This is the faster method as there are no files to be extracted.

Edit PSS.INI

• ip - enter the IP or DDNS of your DVR
• port - enter the DVR port or leave the default
• user - enter the remote login name or leave the default
• pass - enter the remote login password or leave the default
• fullscreen - enter 1 to start in full screen or 0 to start regular
• view - enter the multiview, eg. 4 = 4 way, 7 = 7 way
• speed - enter 3 for fast (substream) or 0 for default

Multiview
Enter a number equal to or higher than the total number of cameras you want to connect to.
Supported views are: 1, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 13, 16, 20, 25, 36.

Full Screen
If you choose full screen, the file pssfs.exe will be called by loadpss.exe.
This full screen tweak is also available as a separate download on this website.

Autorun
Included a sample Autorun.inf file which will work as it is.
This includes the icon from the main PSSProject.exe.
In the case of USB Drives there will be a popup confirming what action to take.

Speed
To start in low res the program creates a new task. The number of cameras and windows for the task are based on the PSS.ini view setting. In low res (speed=3) it will connect to the DVR with substream. Without low res it just uses the default higher quality, and uses the lastmonitor PSS setting recreated each time. The task file will only be edited if you select the fast speed.

Requirements
Windows Operating System with Visual Basic 6 Runtimes.
Other requirements unknown at this time.
Tested on XP SP3. Contact us about errors.
