Cat Island
Cat Island is said to have the highest hill in the Bahamas - Mount Alvernia at 206 feet. On top of this hill is "The Hermitage", built in the 1940s by Father Jerome Hawkes. Arthur's Town, Cat Island, is famous for being the birth place of internationally renowned actor Sidney Poitier.
